Brian is back

Brian Griffin, a much beloved character on the popular television show Family Guy, was killed off in one of the latest episodes. Brian was playing street hockey outside on the road with Stewie Griffin when a speeding  car proceeded to run over Brian along with the hockey goal. The car drove off leaving Brian there. The Griffin family was heartbroken with the loss of the family dog. Months went by and the Griffin family eventually moved on with the exception of Stewie. The Griffins decided that it would be best to get a new dog to help the family move on. The family visited the dog pound and picked up a new dog named Vinny.

The whole family accepts Vinny with the exception of Stewie. Stewie and Brian were best friends so it is harder for him to move on. The Griffins are about to have their first Christmas without Brian and everyone seems alright with it except for Stewie. Stewie sees Santa Claus in the mall and tells Santa that what he really wants for Christmas is Brian back. Vinny feels bad for Stewie and takes him to the mall where Stewie sees himself from the past who time traveled forward to buy a Christmas toy early. Stewie steals the time machine from his past self and uses it to save Brian. Family guy fans everywhere were shocked to find out about Brian's death so it was no surprise that Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, agreed to create an episode to bring Brian back. As a Family Guy fan myself I was very pleased that they chose to bring Brian back as the family dog. The show felt like something was missing without Brian there and many others apparently thought the same.
