College Break

I remember when my older twin brothers went off to school in mid August, I was nervous for the incoming change of my life style and losing contact with them, but at the same time the excitement for having our shared car to myself, my own bathroom, and being more independent was overwhelming. In August, having a full three months til I saw them face to face seemed like a life time, but now looking back on it, its only 90 days.

My brothers will be home this upcoming Friday for thanksgiving break, and to be frank, I think that I could wait a few more months before they got back. I have gotten into the stream of things, staying out til night time after school to do homework at the library, cleaning my car, and making my own dinners are a few of the new things that I have been doing. Being completely in charge of myself took me a few weeks to get into the hang of things, but I like it, it's simple.

With my brothers home, my car becomes their car which means I need to start to rely on others for things that today and for the past three months I have been independent for. I miss my brothers and I am so excited to see their faces on Friday when I get home at night, but I am nervous on how the Thanksgiving week will go.
