On the other side of this, in the summer time when we would work, closing hours together on a Tuesday night were the best, no customers, no managers, just my friends, some other high school kids, and me closing down the store. But once summer ended and soccer started, weekdays were out and every Saturday and Sunday afternoon turned into my new shifts. Playing a sport year round, homework, work, and having a social life is a really tough balance. On the weekends I enjoy hanging out with my friends so for most of my Saturday shifts I usually was "throwing up" or "had a fever" the night before just so I would not have to go in the next morning and I could sleep in and enjoy the sunny afternoon. So far I don't think they have caught on, don't take this wrong, I love my job, I have great hours, fun bosses that are very relaxed with changing shifts. I got my first raise a few weeks ago and a bonus not one month after I started.
MB is a great place to work, but I like my friends more than standing still for 5 hours asking strangers how their day was and if they found everything okay.
